Kachori in Mangaluru style prepared using flour and stuffed with semolina, coconut and spices. Biscuit Rotti is an evening snack that pairs perfectly with hot cup of tea or coffee.

How to make it?
You will need –
Dough :
flour ( wheat or all purpose flour)
hot oil
turmeric
Salt to taste
Water for kneading
Filling:
oil
rava shredded coconut
mustard
urad dal
crushed red chillies(roasted) or chilli flakes
Pinch of turmeric
Handful of curry leaves
sugar
Salt to taste
Method :
1. Make dough
Take flour, salt in a bowl. Add tbsp of hot oil and mix well. And water little by little (approx 1/2 cup) and knead the flour into a pliable dough. Set aside.
2. Prepare the filling:
Heat oil in a pan, add red chillies and roast until crisp. Set aside. Once cooled down, crush the chillies.
Add mustard seeds, urad dal to the same pan. When dal turns golden, curry leaves, semolina and shredded coconut, roast for a while. Mix in salt and sugar.Take it off flame and mix well. Add in roasted crushed red chillies.
3. Make stuffed poori
Take lemon sized dough and roll it into small pooris. Place 2 – 3tsp of the filling on the rolled dough, pull the edges together and seal the mixture in.
Flatten the dough and roll it into thick poori. Repeat this for rest of the dough.
Fry them in medium hot oil until golden brown

- 1 cup flour wheat or all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp hot oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste

- 2 tsp oil
- 1/4 cup rava
- 2- 3 tbsp finely shredded coconut
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 1-2 crushed red chillies roasted or chilli flakes
- Pinch of turmeric
- Handful of curry leaves
- 1- 2 tbsp sugar
- Salt to taste
Instructions
