  • 1+1/4 cup rolled oats or steel cut oats
  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 1/2 cup urad dal or mung dal
  • 2 tbsp chana dal
  • 1 tsp methi seeds
  • 3 tbsp poha // optional
  • salt to taste
  • water for preparing batter
  • 2 tsp corriander powder // only if you find quinoa overpowering the batter


  • Soak oats, quinoa, lentils, methi seeds in hot water for 2 hours.
  • Drain the remaining water and grind the ingredients together to form a smooth batter. Add water little by little while preparing the batter. Rest the batter for 30 mins to 1 hour or you can also start preparing dosa immediately.
  • If you are using iron tawa to prepare dosa, then grease and heat the pan until hot.
  • Pour the batter on the center of the pan and spread them evenly.
  • Cook in medium heat until the bottom the dosa is golden and crispy.
  • Repeat the steps for rest of the batter.
  • Serve hot along with coconut chutney, or peanut Chutney or saagu or sambar.
